4. IOWA HAWKEYES
RECORD: 12-0, 8-0 Big Ten
LAST WEEK: Won at Nebraska (5-7, 3-5 Big Ten), 28-20
THIS WEEK: vs. Michigan State (11-1, 7-1 Big Ten), Big Ten Championship Game

The Big Ten Championship Game is a de facto Playoff play-in. Either Iowa or Michigan State is guaranteed entry with a victory Saturday in Indianapolis, but the loser is almost assuredly out.
Iowa has yet to experience defeat on the season, one of only two FBS programs to run the table. The Hawkeyes could very well face the other, Clemson, in the semifinal.
Friday’s visit to Nebraska was a quintessential trap game, and Iowa responded with a dominant response much more lopsided than the 28-20 final might indicate.
Iowa hasn’t loaded up on style points. But with no losses, the Hawkeyes won’t need to.
