Alabama ranks among those that need only win to get in. The others are Clemson, Iowa and/or Michigan State. Any other squad with designs on the Playoff needs help somewhere.
What more can be written of the Crimson Tide? Nick Saban has them rolling along, doing what they do best: overwhelming opponents on defense and ramming the ball down their throats on offense. Derrick Henry is a leading contender for the Heisman Trophy, and Iron Bowl rival Auburn is unlikely to detour his run to New York City.
With Auburn and Florida playing as they are, I expect Alabama to get little competition on its way to another SEC championship and back into the Playoff. The Tide are as close to being written in ink on my bracket as is possible two weeks before the field is announced.
